Go Away Ethanol, Again

Readers know that I’m down on crop Ethanol (as opposed to celluosic Ethanol) as an environmental and policy disaster. California recently showed that the total carbon impact of Ethanol to be higher than the gasoline baseline. And today it’s revealed that producing one gallon of ethanol fuel requires 2100 gallons of water.

Come on, guys. There really is no good reason to debate any further. Ethanol technology in cars is good, but Ethanol from crop foods is not. Time to put this one to bed.
